Lee
Lee Roy Selmon's tale combines football scholarships for his family as well as service in the local community. In the first place Selmon was brought up with Lucious Semon and his wife Jessie on the farm close to Eufala located in Oklahoma as one of their nine children. Two soccer. He is among the three brothers that were players for Oklahoma. The three brothers were all All-America. Lucious Jr. Dewey, Lee Roy, and Lucious Jr. Dewey started the 1973 season. Lee Roy received the Outland & Lombardi Awards for being the most effective lineman in the USA. He won two championships and 32-1-1 in his three seasons as the Oklahoma's starting linebacker. In 1975, Selmon was awarded the third scholarship of his career and was recognized as a National Football Foundation scholar-athlete. Selmon received a degree in Education. Fourth year of college Lee Roy devoted ten hours per week to volunteer projects. In Tampa the Buccaneers, he was a player for the Buccaneers for nine seasons before becoming an all-pro. He also began a career in business. In 1988, while working as an account relations officer at First Florida Bank of Tampa He was a member of the Special Olympics Easter Seals Baptist Church Ronald McDonald House United Negro College Fund South Florida Institute Black Life Hall of Fame Bowl Committee. In 1982 the Junior Chamber of Commerce recognized Lee Roy as being among Ten of America's top young men. Lee Roy weighed 256 lbs and stood at a height of 6-2. When he was playing college, he commanded the 1975 team. In 1993, he was a part of at the University of South Florida as an associate director of athletics. The College Football Hall of Fame was named for his on the 28th of October, the year 1988. GTE Academic All-America Hall of Fame, in 1994. Pro Football Hall of Fame In 1995. In 1989 the Oklahoma City Chapter National Football Foundation presented the Distinguished American Award, to Mr. Lucious Selmon and his wife.
